Today’s edition of Thinker Thursday may seem a little strange to some of you. 2 of our recommendations are content generated by famous actors.
You may ask yourself, “why should I listen to what two braindead movie stars have to say?”
In general, society places far too much weight and authority on the opinions and celebrities. They make their opinions known by tweeting from their mansions or appearing on late night talk shows in front of thousands of adoring fans.
There is no need to promote this kind of simple follower mentality. Just because your favorite celebrity believes something doesn’t mean you should too.
However, just because someone is famous does not mean we should disqualify them from consideration. Both Matthew McConaghey and Kevin Hart have built extremely successful businesses and brands by:
Working extremely hard
Having incredible determination
Being creative and thinking outside the box
Pushing boundaries
There might be a thing or two to learn from them.
Books:
Do not read this book. Go to Audible and listen to McConaghey’s narration.
Greenlights: Matthew McConaghey
This book is great for those who are looking to understand their purpose in life. Those who are deciding what they want to do and who they want to be.
Podcasts:
Kevin Hart should be hugely admired for the commitment he gives to his family and doing good for the world. His perspective on recovering from a car crash is very insightful.
