Be Curious, Not Judgemental
Hi all, today is Thinker Thursday, and I have some great content for you.
You may notice something different today. Usually The Steel Road’s emails are written from a group standpoint. That’s because I, Matt Bidstrup, The Steel Road’s founder write these emails on behalf of the company. I do not write them as my personal writing, rather I view myself as a writer for a publication.
However today, I wanted to come out and ask a personal question, and most of all thank you for being a valued reader of The Steel Road.
My wife keeps asking me if this newsletter will ever make any money. Today I have a poll that could very well answer that question.
Let’s make an agreement right now. I work hard to publish these newsletters. I conduct research, consume books, listen to podcasts, and search everywhere I can to create good content for you.
I believe I have put in the work to gain your trust, and I will only ask for one thing.
All I want is for you to honestly answer this poll. That’s it. I don’t care what your answer is, just be honest.
Now that we have that out of the way, let’s get some awesome Thinker Thursday content out there.

Books:
I grew up watching Bear Grylls in the TV show Man vs. Wild. When I was 15 I visited a friend’s house and on their coffee table was this book. I remember picking it up and being enthralled. Bear’s wisdom goes far beyond survival skills.
Podcasts:
Recently I’ve been on a True Crime kick. I’ve loved listening to Cold, a podcast about a missing woman in Utah.
