Learn from a dorky Youtuber
This week I discovered an awesome Youtuber that has built an incredible business.
Let me introduce you to Doug Demuro:
He’s just a goofy looking guy in Sad Diego that sold his business for $40 million dollars.
His early career began as a vehicle allocation manager at Porsche North America, and then he transitioned to writing blog posts for Autotrader.com. To make his articles more interesting he started recording YouTube videos on his iPhone reviewing different cars.
Over 10 years later he has filmed 992 car reviews, grown to 4.65 million subscribers, and launched carsandbids.com which recently sold for $40,000,000.
Here’s what’s awesome about Doug.
He took what he knew from his day job and started experimenting with it.
His videos are super simple. He started with an MVP and just ran with it by providing great insight and content.
Cars and Bids has made him millions of dollars, but he didn’t start with launching the product. He focused on the market first and the product second. Sound familiar?
Market first, product second

If you’ve found this newsletter helpful, all I’m asking is one favor. No money, not shilling you a course, just one favor that wil…
